When data is transferred to service providers outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or adequacy decisions by the European Commission.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations:

  • Account information (email, name): Retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after account closure for legal and business purposes
  • Uploaded files (manuscripts, book covers): Retained for 1 month after upload, then automatically deleted unless you choose to keep them longer
  • Generated videos: Retained until you delete them or close your account
  • Payment records: Retained as required by law (typically 7 years for tax and accounting purposes)
  • Logs and analytics data: Retained for 1 week, then anonymized or deleted

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. We will delete your data within 30 days of your request, except where we are required to retain it by law.

Limelit uses TikTok's Content Posting API to publish videos to TikTok on your behalf when you request it. Our domain (limelit.io) is verified with TikTok for this purpose.

Limelit uses Instagram's Graph API (via Meta/Facebook) to publish Reels to Instagram on your behalf when you request it.

By using features that publish content to Instagram, you agree to be bound by:

We only access and use Instagram data necessary to publish content you request. We do not store your Instagram credentials or access tokens beyond what is necessary for the Service. You can disconnect your Instagram account at any time from your profile settings.
